CDIL Semiconductors has commenced commercial production from its new OSAT/ATMP packaging line established under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 1.0 at its Mohali facility. The commencement was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during SEMICON India 2026. The new line is dedicated to the manufacture of high-power semiconductor devices serving applications across automotive, EV, industrial, renewable energy and power electronics sectors
Started in a record 10 months under the India Semiconductor Mission 1.0, CDIL Semiconductors is manufacturing high-power discrete semiconductor devices including Power Transistors, MOSFETs, IGBTs and Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices, with its first production line under ISM 1.0 manufacturing TO-247 package devices. These devices cater to a wide range of applications across automotive and EVs, audio, industrial systems, power electronics, renewable energy and power conditioning.
With the commencement, CDIL Semiconductors has also become one of the five companies approved under India Semiconductor Mission 1.0 to commence commercial production, marking an important milestone in the implementation of India’s semiconductor manufacturing programme.
The facility uses CDIL’s in-house developed technology, enabling the company to develop and manufacture semiconductor devices for both Indian and global customers. With the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities in Mohali, CDIL Semiconductors is further strengthening its position as an Indian semiconductor manufacturer and contributing to the development of a robust, resilient and globally integrated semiconductor ecosystem in India.
